Max is a 10 mos old Coton De Tulear. He is house trained, crate trained, neutered, hypoallergenic and a beautiful dog. I have 3 small kids and another dog and I'm just overwhelmed; I didn't think it would be so much work. Cotons require lots of love and attention so, if you are at work most of the day, this is not a dog for you. They also have long hair but because my lack of time, I just decided to cut his hair short. Max is friendly with my kids and love to follow me around the house. He is protective of his home so he will growl for people at the door or strangers however, he stops at the command of "NO".He knows "sit", "paw", "up", "stay" and "down" (to get down off the couch) and "no barking" (when I let him outside in the backyard to run). He's a very smart and gentle dog. He lets you bathe him, brush, blow dry and even cut his hair without fussing. He is not social with strangers but that can be changed if you socialize him with trips to a dog park, petsmart where he can see people as good and treat givers instead of threatning. He never ever bit any of my kids or any family members that comes over and he is very gentle and submissive. I think that Max would be better off in a quiet home, as the only dog with a person that could be firm (not mushy like me), take him out for walks, trips to different places and don't mind to train him to be a well rounded, friendly and social dog. I trully believe in my heart that with time and patience he can become a fantastic dog, just like he is here in my house.I request 3 references (one of them being the vet) and an agreement to be signed just so I know that Max will be taken care off and not mistreated.Serious inquiries only to: email mailto:LC9BI@AOL.COM
